TRE® for Families | Stress Relief for Parents & Teenagers | Kate White

A stress release practice the whole family can learn together

I offer in-home TRE® sessions for families with older children and teenagers, a shared experience that gives everyone a practical tool for managing stress, independently and for life.

Why families benefit from learning together

Stress in one family member affects everyone. When parents are carrying tension and anxiety, children feel it. When teenagers are overwhelmed, the whole household can feel the strain. TRE® offers something rare, a practice that works for adults and young people alike, that can be learned together, and then used individually whenever it is needed.

Learning as a family creates a shared resource. It can strengthen connection, reduce the sense of isolation that stress often brings, and give young people in particular something genuinely useful at a time when they need it most.

For teenagers and young adults

Modern adolescence is genuinely demanding. Social media, exam pressure, friendship dynamics, hormonal and neurological change, uncertainty about the future, teenagers are navigating a lot, often without adequate tools to manage the physical effects of that stress.

TRE® works particularly well for young people because it requires no talking, no analysis, and no willingness to open up. It works at a body level releasing tension that has built up physically which means it works even for teenagers who are resistant, private, or simply do not know how to articulate what they are feeling.

Over time it becomes something they can use on their own: before exams, after a difficult day, to help with sleep, or simply to feel more settled in themselves.

For parents

Parents carrying stress, whether from work, family demands, or simply the weight of worry about their children, benefit just as much. TRE® gives you a tool you can use independently, regularly, and without needing to carve out significant time or effort.

Many parents find that learning alongside their children changes the dynamic. It is a shared experience where no one is the expert and everyone is learning something new together.

How it works

Sessions are held at your home, making the experience relaxed and familiar, particularly important for teenagers who might feel self-conscious in a clinical or studio setting.

A family session is approximately 90 minutes and covers the full TRE® process from start to finish. Everyone leaves knowing how to practise independently.

£80 per session for up to 5 family members (children must be aged 10 or above). A series of a least 4 sessions is recommended

Follow-up sessions are available for any family members who want to deepen their practice individually.
