TRE® stands for Tension Release Exercises and was developed by Dr David Bercelli (david-berceli.com) as a way of releasing the muscular patterns of stress and tension that we hold in our bodies. Through his work Dr David Bercelli came to understand that the human organism, like all mammals, has an innate ability to shake/tremor after a stressful event is over in order to calm the nervous system, quieten the mind, and rest and recover physically.


TRE® is a set of simple exercises that gently stretch and fatigue the body, activating the natural tremor reflex. Tremoring or shaking is our body's natural way to release excess tension and return to a calm, relaxed state. We naturally tremor when we are excited, scared, or angry, but over time, many of us learn to suppress these movements so as not to appear vulnerable. Suppressing this instinct can prevent the nervous system from fully calming, resting, and recovering from stress. TRE® helps restore this natural process.

TRE® works at a deep, subconscious level and is entirely body-based, so no talking is required.


Tremoring releases tension stored in the muscles, calming the nervous system and bringing the body back into balance. It is a natural, safe process, and you remain in complete control, pausing or stopping the tremors at any time during a session.


TRE® can help you feel calmer, sleep better, and enjoy an overall sense of wellbeing and deep relaxation.

Once learned and embodied, TRE® can be practised on your own, anywhere and anytime. It gives you a simple way to release stress naturally - you can shake out tension wherever you are.

Prices:

£60 for a 1:1 sessions

Cancellations and Refunds

Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the booked time. Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment will incur a cancellation fee of £40. Missed appointments with no prior notice are charged at £60.

The Role of Tremoring
Prolonged stress can leave us feeling exhausted, burnt out, and disconnected from our lives. Tremoring helps the body release tension and gently return to its natural state of flow.

TRE® does not replace professional support for those who require it, but provides a simple self-care technique to optimise wellbeing & performance and help support & enhance the effects of other treatments & self-care practices.
